I think this image would have been a lot more effective had you rotated the camera 90º and opened up the aperture more to blur the bird. By switching to a portrait rather than landscape orientation, you would have better emphasized the beauty in this swan's long and graceful neck.

Never be afraid to go vertical. Apart from landscapes, portrait orientations tend to be the most effective for most subjects.
