I listened for over an hour to this guy's story.

I was out photographing wild flowers and birds in the Kansas flint hills, and I was miles from any town, when I came across this. I listened for over an hour as he explained the significance of every item on the bike. This includes his dead fathers socks that he said he wore to his father's funeral. This is one of the strangest and most interesting things I have ever come across on a field trip.

I love the concept of motocycles as personal (movable/ridable) works of art.  As a rider myself, I understand the intense emotional investment that a good bike (any bike, actually!) can represent.

I congratulate you, not so much for the photograph itself, but for seeing the man and not the 'spectacle'.
