Jocelyn steals the camera for a quick shot. Guatemalan boy looks on.

sandcruiser

shot on a 70's vintage nuthin-automatic SLR, kodak b/w film (don't know if trix or tmax). Really my wife's camera, but since she had stolen mine for a while, I reciprocated. Shooting the kid who was watching her shoot someone else was great. He didn't seem sure of what we were doing but didn't seem to want to ask/interfere either. He just followed along, watching for a while.Shot in the afternoon at whatever the meter suggested. Handheld, so probably over 1/60th.No filters.

Intresting picture you got there =P

If you don't mind me asking, what camera was your wife using in that picture (AKA, your camera!)

I like this scene! but maybe to tight crop, but I know..street photography is not easy!

love the disinterested (is that a word) look of the boy. Obviously jaded to us weirdo's lugging tripods and huge lenses all over the world. Very unique shot. Good work (& thanks for your comment on my shot. I agree on the contrast instead of "levels". Had totally forgot it as a possibility)

The contrast between the overhung and unsupported curve of the woman and the leaning indolence of the boy shows time flowing at distinctly different rates.
