kersti 0 Posted February 24, 2011 Today we had strong frost (-18), slight fog and sunshine. Trees covered with hoarfrost. Occasionally light wind shattered glittering crystals from the trees and created fairy-tale like ambience. Thanks for your comments ... Link to comment
vbirke 0 Posted February 25, 2011 A very special winter atmosphere and mood is conveyed by this shot, Kersti. Great perspective, lights and contrasts of shapes and textures. Very well done.BR / Volker Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted February 25, 2011 This is gorgeous! I really love the 'tunnel-view' effect of the lower-half of the image, with the snowy road framed by those lovely trees, roofed by those great branches, and the eye just being pulled into the 'tunnel' at the end. Personally, I think you could crop a bit more than 50% of the top-half of this image, creating a new 4:3 or 3:2 ratio and end up with an even stronger image. It seems to me that the real interest here is in the lower half of the image. Just my two-cents though. This really has a wonderful soft kind of misty mood too. Beautifully seen and captured. Cheers!
