Hi Bill:

I love watching nuthatches. When I zoomed in on one hanging upside down in winter,  and took a few shots, I was aghast at how ratty the little fellow looked. Yours looks much better; but, I think the species could be deemed the slobs of the bird world. Maybe they moonlight cleaning chimneys?
