anura1 0 Posted February 24, 2011 Hi Roberta, I really like this picture. By Looking at your greate portofolio, I can say that you are a expert on "Water Drops". I saw this pic on Nikon wednesday forum too and saw that you have mention, you had to stack few photos to get this effect. Would you mind sharing your technique ?? Again, its a great photo! Thanks! birdied 10 Posted February 26, 2011 Anura, you are far too kind. I just really enjoy dew drop and water drop shots. In macro photography, the depth of field can be very small especially if you are shooting greater than 1:1. In order to get more of the object in focus , focus stacking is used. I am by no means good at this technique. I am just starting to practice it.What you do is focus on different parts of the image to get in in focus and then move the focus point to the next part . You try and do this and keep your field of view the same. One can take as many shots of the object as you need to get it all in focus. There are programs that you can then run that will put all the images together , helicon focus, zerene stacker or you can do manually in photoshop. I do it manually in photoshop most of the time.Anytime you have any questions, just let me know. Will be glad to helpHere are a couple of sites that might help :http://www.flickr.com/groups/macroviewers/discuss/163367/http://www.wonderfulphotos.com/articles/macro/dewdrops/ Link to comment
