My daughter, 5 years old, at the same age as her grandmother (my mother-in-law) was when she moved out of this house.

I'm a bit struggle w/ the setup here. If you want to include your daughter to give a comparison between her age (hence youthfulness) and the ruin's age, I would position her more dominantly in the picture. As it is I can barely recorgnize that there is a little girl on the stair. Regards. M

Minh Thai: Yes, I understand what you mean. I took more photos, closer to her and from different angles, but I decided that this one was the best specially for the story and maybe for the eye, showing the whole house and the surroundings. Maybe I will put more of the photos here on PN.

Many thanks to you and all the others for the kind comments! - Amason

I like this, immensley. It's very original, and I love the colors, the sloping hill, and definetly the child standing amongst what could be called ruins. You've created a winderful image. I would like to see a closer crop on the left side, the whole side seems almost..messy... But, this is a great image.

How surreal! This reminds me of an illustration for perhaps a children's adventure book, the wonder of a new discovery, etc. The child staring back into an empty and abandoned house evokes a sense of mystery. Questions abound - who is she, and why is she there?
