Your photos are simply majestic!  This image has that perfect blend of a simple, artful composition and technical expertise in the sharpness and balance of light. Well done!

very surreal. I have seen these clouds only once in my life and I was speachless. This image is a masterpiece, cheers Jana

No question that you are a superb photographer. All of your other images I would rate 7 but not this one. The sky is too contrasty and sharply delineated and I am not crazy about the cyan biased grass color.  Neither do I question the authenticity of this image nor any technical aspects so it comes down to a matter of tastes. I won't rate it because I know high rates are important to you! Keep up the great work which is inspiring to me.

I love strange clouds like this, always made me think of alien invasions as a kid. Well captured and presented.

Ignore the low ratings - like others said the comments are what counts and the trolls are not worth noticing. Keep up the good work and keep posting.

It's a great picture. Best photos are not found among best rated photos, that is the fact. But this Internet sight is O.K. Only raters should be more objective. It is impossible for editors to rate all photos. It would make site more expensive. Average raters, average selection. Anyhow with a little luck you can find perfect photo.

Regards.

Really, don't take the low scores badly. First, they may be comparing it to a complete composite image, touched, added, who all knows what. I think it is stunning! I have had images in local competitions over the years; I received a bare minimum grade on one and after the judging, at the Q&A, the club president asked them to comment on why it received such a low score... the judges don't even remember seeing it. They then though it was good enough to submit to the zoo where it was taken. It impressed them so much, they don't remember seeing it! Don't take it to heart!

Yet another dynamic image from Mr Philips. I can't help but wonder what it would look like with a slight colour adjustment to warm the Earth and cool the sky.  And to finish it off, a little bit of burning in the lower corners of the image to help keep your eye within the frame.  Nice poster potential you have here.
