What a perfect way to post treat this image. the tenderness is not lost in the childs face and the lighting works so well... The balance of negative space is needed to really get this effect done.. 7 MJ

Nice portrait and nice sructure in the background!

Would erase a little bit more of the structure especially the part of her shirt and neck...

Pauline:  I have no idea why I'm the first to comment on this. It seems to me it should have caught many eyes before mine. Your work is simply astounding. I would recognize an image of yours from all the others -- regardless of subject. I guess that is what we all strive for if we are serious about photography -- to put enough of ourselves into our work that others recognize it when they see it.  The Dutch masters would have been presenting us this image if they had digital photography available. You are a van Delft with a camera.

Really nice portrait, I love the gaze and the processing.  The overlay works to enhance the image and it makes her look more thoughtful.
