jerrymat 5 Posted February 11, 2011 David,I can understand the composition's intent with the arm of the chair blocking part of our view of the young lady, but I don't think it works very well. I find myself wishing you had taken the picture from a much higher angle so I could see the missing middle. As far as the logo, if this were an advertising piece - it needs to be bigger. If this is meant to be your "signature" it would look much better near the bottom of the print.Jerry Link to comment
asiamahphotography 0 Posted February 13, 2011 Jerry thanks much for your comment. Regarding the missing middle: I found it more intriguing to leave something to the imagination. Sometimes the image is about what's missing. As for the logo: The logo is there for a little advertising but mainly to be more explicit about unauthorized use of the image. Granted the current placement makes it rather easy to get rid of if someone really wanted to but I've found my work in some unexpected places. You are not the first and will not be the last but until I can edit the meta data I'm inclined to maintain this practice for the time being.Again thank you for your thoughtful comments.Best,D Link to comment
drorbaldinger 0 Posted February 13, 2011 beautiful repose and an intriguing expression . i agree that some needs to be left for the imagination. my only suggestion would be to crop the bottom a wee bit. Link to comment
