billsymmons 0 Posted February 12, 2011 It's pretty obvious you have a new love that's entered your life Gail. Very soft and loving pictures totally suited to the emotion that I can tell you feel.As far as the fingers and toes are concerned. Teething is a period all dogs have to get through and trying to discourage chewing will be a failed activity, they need to chew. It might be better to make sure that there are chew toys around and every time there is any nipping on things that are not allowed you substitute one of the toys. Dogs will quickly learn what is ok and what is not.The other "cure" of course is time! All my best, Bill Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted February 12, 2011 I always knew you were an ol' 'Softie'....who couldn't use a 'dose' of 'love'in' these days??? And I'm sure she would accept all the hugs and kisses you'd love to give. And she would return them...the KISSES at least!!! Big thankyou for your visit and input....no guessing here, sincere appreciation, Gail Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted February 12, 2011 Meant to say that probably might work. I daren't walk barefoot, and some sour juice on the end of my nose just might keep her away from my face. Most times she wants to kiss my neck, but gets tempted to nip. Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted February 12, 2011 Good advice, we've got the chew toys that we quite quickly give her to knaw on. It seems she is most active when her teeth are bothering her. I read that it really is quite painful for them, just as in humans. Funny, I don't remember Hayley as so much when she was teething. She only chewed a bit on one piece of furniture, but we did bring her home at 10 weeks not 8.She is a 'new love' and as you say, she has to chew. I just couldn't remember if there was any remedies that helped. Hope you enjoy a good weekend and hopefully it will not be quite so cold. Talk soon, Gail Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted February 12, 2011 I don't think there is ENOUGH of her to go around!!! So I guess I'll have to share her this way. Thank you for those kind remarks Tom. As for Mom, she is holding her own with the help of family, biggest part of course is Dad, but we have a really good team of Careworkers that are provided Free of Charge due to her being in Pallative Care. I just wish she could sit up on her own, or walk a bit. Before that last operation that could have been avoided, she was able to walk slowly and quite comfortable in her lazy boy in the living room. Now, due to her long hospital stay, and no Phisio, she has no strength in her legs, and back. It would be so nice for her to sit in the living room with Dad. She is confined to her bedroom, but Dad got her a TV. Even though she has her 'Maggie' , Abbey really cheers her up, of course because she is a little mischievious pup, my brother gets another pup this weekend. Part Shitz and Pug. He is really cute from a picture I've seen. Thankyou Tom for inquiring, it was very kind of you. Sincere good wishes, Gail Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted February 14, 2011 Thankyou for that little note, I don't think I would have managed as well had I not known in my heart that those I know here on PN have had me in their thoughts, literally, all over the world. There has been a very sound and constant feeling of support, the sincerity of well wishers has been a 'tangible' source of strength for me, and I am most grateful that PN is also a community of caring individuals as well as comrades who share their images and thoughts with each other. I am not into Facebook etc., I don't know where else I'd find such a 'gift'. Thankyou all (those who see this message and have shared in this 'journey' that is far from over). My most sincere regards and thanks, Gail Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted February 16, 2011 Yes, when she looks at me this way, your heart melts, the mind is entirely in another space, and the warmth of love you feel for this little bundle of 'powder puff' and 'energy' calms the heart and soul. Truly she is a blessing for me at this particular time in my life. Thankyou my friend for your kind remarks....you have supported me in many ways during this time and I am most grateful.
