Outstanding floral work and the lighting here is superb, the subject details are fine while the blurred background adding a very nick effect and enhancing the composition.

When shooting at the large apertures as was done here you can get a very soft and abstract image which I find very attractive. I am trying to get into the heads of the raters on this one.  The largest petals are the brightest and this is where my eyes are drawn immediately. Could it be that the raters wanted that section along with the central green to be more in focus?

If you had the camera on a tripod you could apply the focus stack solution where you take a 2nd and or 3rd image where you refocus at different points of this image and then do software blending to augment the area of focus.

It is easy to assign a rating 'number' but they seldom tell you what you they don't like or offer solutions.
