# 271 - crop 01

Although I am not entirely new to photography, I am always eager to

learn, so any comment will be appreciated very much.

This is a well balanced black and white - is it a film original or digital?  I suspect the former. Your exposure is good, the tones are excellent, but I would like to suggest a different crop.  All of the action is taking place between the two people - they are obviously in a long conversation.  I suggest that you want to show something of their location but make them big enough (by cropping) to be the dominating figures in the image.  My suggestion for a crop is uploaded.

It's a very powerful and well balanced shot..! Tones, contrasts and next the attitude of your subjects are great..!! Phoe.., yes, those covers at the bottom. Cropping them is no option. While playing (forgive me) with the image: the person on the right is seeming to slip in that direction. So did just straighten the image and by that also the bottom got a fraction less disturbing. Together with the beautiful white framing, this might be an idea. Lars, because of it's strenght and your vision I hardly did dare the crop..! :)  

Jerry said it all, but about the cropping I'm not sure that he's right! I mean I could accept it as it is as well!
