vbirke 0 Posted February 2, 2011 This work fascinates due to the great harmonic arrangement of contrasts of image elements (one sea gull standing still and one being in motion versus different "rigid" construction elements - rail = horizontal lines, lamps = vertical lines - of the pier), moreover the special perspective and outstanding DOF. The lighting and awesome subtle colors are also fantastic. Such piers are great places of inspiration for a skilled photographer under certain conditions (weather and light must match, one should encounter a speical moment during the day or night etc.) IMO, although a lot of people might think there is not really great opportunity to take an innovative photo (because it is such a "common" spot...). You prove here the inspiration at 120 % I would say.BR / Volker Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted February 2, 2011 Beautiful work! I like the angle, composition and how the world around the bird in focus is blurred around him. Lovely light and soft color. Thank you for sharing. :) Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 313 Posted February 3, 2011 Pity that one who is flying isn't sharp! I think the picture might work well even without him! Cloning out is my advice!PDE Link to comment
