j._scott_schrader 0 Posted April 6, 2001 The quality of light is what makes this shot work. (In the small version I thought that the clouds were mountains.) A suggestion would be to try to find something more simple for the foreground framing. The tree that you chose is very busy. I realize that in a moment like this it is often much easier said than done. A larger branch with fewer offshoots could have been more effective. Link to comment
pralay 0 Posted April 6, 2001 What a nice mood picture. I loved it. But what Scott said is right. But I feel still it's ok. But it certainly would look better if you have shown more at the left side, I mean more trees. I am saying because in this picture the small branches suddently came out from the left corner of the picture, which doens't look very good. If you had shown the "real trees" of these branches, you wouldn't need any big branch. Link to comment
ren__luijk 0 Posted April 8, 2001 I agree with both your comments about the tree. It is a bit busy and it would be nicer to have a whole tree on it. But it was the only shot I could make. Clouds traveled fast that day and the light was constantly changing. I focussed on this treebranche because it was the only "nice" shot that good be made at that time. If you take into considaration there were many trees in front of this one it was this shot or not(thing). I have been there a few more evenings after but the light never reappeared. Link to comment
