Michael,

His skin tone is very good. The composition, color saturation, contrast and his expression are excellent. The lighting is also very good. I especially like the rim light coming from behind to light the edge of his face. This helps to separate him from the background. The background is nicely out of focus and he is well separated from it. He has a very nice relaxed pose.

Your focus is good, but I am not sure his eyes are in critical focus. Make sure you focus carefully on his eyes. Use a tripod whenever possible.

His bright silver belt buckle really draws my attention to his pants that should be pulled up on his waist. They look too low.

While the background is nicely out of focus, the bright yellow in the background really draws my attention away from your subject.

Catchlights would add a little life to his eyes.

Be careful of split profiles. You do not want the tip of his nose to come close to touching the far cheek line. You want to make sure the far eye is either completely showing or not showing at all. You do not want to have the bridge of his nose cut into his far eye.

It appears you are getting some sort of flair or lens reflections in the lower right near his left hand and forearm.

Nice shot,

Mark
