trisha jean-angela 5 Posted January 24, 2011 PATSY and KAWAN,Thank you so much for your kind words and attention to this photo; I am so happy you like it and appreciate that you took the time to share your thoughts! This lovely and very sweet cat is Cali; she used to live next door but adopted us and then her owner just moved away and left her...She is a beautiful and very sweet cat who prefers to be outdoors in our backyard where she can chase squirrels and warm in the sun. Thanks again for your comments; always good to hear from both of you! :) Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted January 25, 2011 Thank you so much; I will pass your compliment on to Cali. I agree that she is very beautiful and she has a beautiful heart too...she is a sweetie. Always good to hear from you! :) Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted January 26, 2011 Wow, what a beautiful cat and cat portrait, very classical. I'm amused at what appears to be a black crow skulking in the background ;-)... Mike Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted January 26, 2011 Thank you for the kind words; I didn't even noticed the black "crow", which are just leaves either from the orange tree or the climbing antique rose bush growing in that spot behind her...That is pretty amusing now, especially since she loves to chase the squirrels and is often the subject of bullying by a blue jay in my yard. I am glad you like this photo and took the time to let me know your thoughts; always good to hear from you. :) Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted January 28, 2011 Im sure she's a loveable cat but this picture could be used by mouse mothers to frighten their mouse children into being good. Link to comment

trisha jean-angela 5 Posted February 1, 2011 Thank you everybody for your comments!JACK - Lol! Yes, that may be but I bet they are thinking what a magnificently beautiful pair of eyes she has when they are face to face. Maybe that is the cat's secret weapon when hunting - their prey is mesmerized by their beauty and unable to get away! :)ALBERTO - Thank you for your kind comment, and yes, I know you meant beautiful! lol. I'll make sure to pass on your compliments to Cali! Always good to hear from you! :)KEITH - Mr. Jelly has a lot of competition at my home with all of my cats, but not to fear...all cats are beautiful and fascinating in my eyes and there is plenty of room to love them all! :)TATJANA - Yes, they are like mini lions and lionesses, aren't they? I'm happy you like this photo of Cali. :)CHARLES - I am happy you like this photo and let me know your thoughts! Always good to hear from you! :) Link to comment

cromwell1664877587 0 Posted February 3, 2011 I really like this, Trisha. It's so well balanced compositionally, and love the intense stare. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted February 3, 2011 The 2nd thing I noticed was the black crow in the background and then I started to search the image for similar shapes. I was back to the cat which has a beautiful pattern in the facial features. I like the clarity and the light. A beautiful image indeed! Link to comment
sadeghmiri 1 Posted February 3, 2011 Fantastic cat portrait! The eye contact is just perfect! Bravo! Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted February 3, 2011 SCOTT and SADEGH Thank you so much for your kind words and encouragement; I realize alot of people just roll their eyes and think to themselves Oh another cat pic but I love animals and enjoy them so much so I will never tire of trying to capture their moods, personalities, or beauty. You have both commented on Cali's eye contact; she does make great eye contact with me when I am photographing her...I think she is just really interested in my camera! She does though always have an intense look about her and when I am sitting at my desk and turn to look out the window at her she just locks eyes with me from far away. She is very loyal and loving...a real sweetie. Thank you for your kind words and visit; I appreciate them very much! Always good to hear from you! :) TONYThank you so much for your kind comments and thoughts on this photo; funny, Mike saw the crow too! I didn't even notice it when shooting this or working on this photo - I get so lost in her eyes! Btw, the 'crow' are leaves either from an antique climbing rose or the orange tree she sits under. Thanks again for your comments; I appreciate them very much. Always good to hear from you! :) Link to comment

She owns the garden; she is the queen of the garden. She is a very sweet cat and loves to model when in the mood. Again, thank you - good to hear from you. :) Link to comment
