Thank you so much for your visit and generous comments. For someone so young, she was a very confident young lady and easy to shoot. I had a lot of fun which I think comes out in my images of her.

From the comments on this thread, I have become very consious of "loose hair" but whilst this is manageable in a studio setting, outdoors is a different issue. In using a long lens, one is a distance away from the model so these "stray strands" are not always noticable until afterwards and often in PP it is safer to leave them in than to try to take them out. For me  anyway.

Thank you for your time.

Seasons Greetings

I'm jealous! I think aesthetic and technical matters are already covered. Even though it is not required, a scott Kelby tip (from a book I purchased) is to lasso (selection) her teeth and then de-saturate to taste. This will make them slightly whiter.

Thank you for your visit, and your time in reading this thread. Yes, it was "hacked to death" yet I learned a lot from the various posters and I am grateful for their contributions.

I am also a fan of Scott Kirby and have his trilogy........ I will read up on the "lasso" effect and have a play....... thanks for the tip.

Appreciate your time here.........

Regards

This is great - you have captured a honest joy. This is what makes it great. The easiness of just being. Yes eyes could be a little sharper as mentioned, but that does not matter so much. I like honesty. So I prefer your original over those edited pictures. Those may shine more and be more perfect technically, but with editing some of the original's honesty have gone missing.

What I like best is that is not posed - but natural image of that girl at ease. As Jonh Peri but it so simply -  it's really what it's all about!

I continue to be delighted at the volume of traffic that this image has generated........... posted as a huge learning curve for me, the response has been amazing.

Your comments are well-received, and from your view-point, I can appreciate your level of image recognition........ thank you.

Best regards
