jcongleton 0 Posted January 13, 2011 The delicacy of this atypically composed (because of lack of "strong" foreground elements) wide-angle photo is very appealing. Subtle details and patterns in the foreground snow encourage visual exploration there, and the orientation of the small wind-blown ridges then leads the eye toward the center of interest, the lovely pink-tinted peak in the background. This would make a beautiful print. Link to comment
jcongleton 0 Posted January 13, 2011 One additional comment: it would be nice to be able to view this one at a larger size. I just looked over your impressive portfolio and noticed that you have often uploaded larger files in the past. Are you still using the 40d? I would like to think (because I use one!) that a photo with this much subtle detail can be produced by an APS-C sensor. Link to comment
simay_zsolt 0 Posted January 13, 2011 Thank you, for your kind words, yes, I still use the 40D, with Tokina 12-24 lens, and, if you are interested in larger file, I will upload another image, a little bit different, in larger format, with polarizer filters active (this one is with inactive polarizers, that's why it has this high key effect). The 40d and tokina combination give birth to nice detailed, sharp images. Link to comment
jcongleton 0 Posted January 13, 2011 Thanks for the information. I'd love to see the larger version with the full polarizing effect. Link to comment
