Trojan remains, but they had no heart to my knowledge .. : -). They massacred, pillaged and fought among each other, but they did serve to balance power iand maintain the Hellenistic culture in the Easter Mediterranean at the time. Nice colouring and interesting composition, I also like how where the main protagonist is featured, it forces the viewer to absorb the forefront too.

Although this photograph appears at first sight to be a straightforward still-life, I find it conveying some powerful symbolism.  The pitchers, cup, bowl, and cloth (blanket?) look aged, and indeed may be historical artifacts.  However, I see the figurine in the background as a testimony to the glory days of Philip and Alexander.

I have no doubt that you poured your heart and soul into this photograph.  Others from your country should be honored.

All my best,

michael

i'm intrigued by the heart-pierced shield the heroic figure is carrying... quite an un-antideluvian, or un-Homeric,  idea!

Rajat, you are perfectly right, it was a quasi antiquity unlike the rest of the objects! What has been on the mind of the creator I couldn't say, but it maybe suits my aim and that is to show that there is love in the hearts of my people! In spite of the bloody past. After all the aim of Alexander wasn't to kill, but to unite the world! Thank you for your clever remark!

"to unite the world" - hmm, perhaps his was a very human quest for glory... in my own country he is well regarded in our folklore... called 'Sikandar' or 'Iskandar'... perceived as a noble and heroic king... there is Greek blood in the warrior peoples of our own north-west
