viviblu 0 Posted January 7, 2011 I spent long hours, first looking for the right place to place my tripod (I like the foreground to be clean, not messy, so it took me a while). Then I was waiting for sunset. The photo is taken right after the sunset, when the shadows covered the whole ground, but did not reach the mountain. It was the only way to have a red sand visible, without burning the rock itself. Comments are very welcomed. Link to comment
olafdziallas 0 Posted January 7, 2011 Very nice colours and composition. I't tend to center the Rock in the middle, but that's a matter of taste ;)Very nice!Best regards,Olaf Link to comment
john_nell 603 Posted January 8, 2011 Your patience has paid off waiting after the sun had set to capture the rock in all its beauty. Would like to see a larger image. John Link to comment
viviblu 0 Posted January 8, 2011 Thank you both. Olaf, I have some more (like a thousand) more shots - with a rock centered also :-). Link to comment
stp 6 Posted January 8, 2011 Having the red of the rock in the sun while the foreground is in the shade and therefore more muted really helps the rock to stand out while showing it in context at the same time. Your patience has resulted in a great photo. Link to comment
yisun 0 Posted January 8, 2011 Really jealous of you! I would want to go to Australia some day to this place! The red sand is so unique! Yi Link to comment
scottsmorra 0 Posted January 9, 2011 Cool shot Vivi. I love the red glow on the rock and the off-center placement of the rock works very well here. Link to comment
