Broom

I was not sure which category best suited this image, so I chose

abstract. In shooting an alleyway, I found this broom stuck behind the

pipes on the wall with dead ivy surrounding everything. I have other

similar shots. All comments and critiques welcome. The photo is an HDR.

Incredible capture! This deserves 7's and more. Very effective.

David, what Beth said! I love the 3 verticals with all of the vines winding under, over and through. The blue brick is a beautiful background for the natural tones. It looks as though someone took great care in placing the broom. I'm glad you found it. 

David, what a "find" - and what a nice eye to see what it was you "found." I like your composition and colors as well.

Alleys are a favorite haunt of mine, showing off the true nature of a place.

Thanks for the comments! It was good to get out into the city to shoot again, since I have not done so for quite a while. I hope to get out again soon. I saw several other things worthy of photos, but I only had a short time before dark.
