Sickness

grichenko

Devoted to Jean Paul Sartre's book. I'm very interested in comments by those who read the book, although all comments are welcome.

I'm very interested in comments from people who read Jean Paul

Sartre's books. The photo is based on one of the books and I would

appreciate if you tell me if it matches the mood.

I thought I should desist from posting a comment as I haven't read Sartre, I like this image enough to place a comment. While the vines represent the random nature of one being afflicted by any sickness, I like the fleeting (fleeing) image of a person as it cuts in two directions. One, that the sickness will be equally fleeting, and the other that it is just a matter of time before the person fades away from existence.

I did not say I don't want comments from people who did not read the book. You are welcome. :) BTW, the "sickness" is not exactly what it means in most languages, Sartre just took this word to describe his feelings. The idea is that we all exist: people, trees, walls... In slightly different ways, but we do. Sickness - is the feeling that you can do nothing to change this. Whatever you do - you still exist. (It's too hard for me to explain this in English, sorry if I said something wrong again.)

Love it! What is probably only a random coloring on the wall looks like viewing roofs through a white opaque screen. The contrast of the three elements (vines, wall, passerby) in the picture produces a really beautiful composition!

Superb abstract. The panorama-style cropping works very well. It is basically a monochrome image in greys and browns with that all important dash of light blue. The vines resemble scribbles or doodling in a notebook. Kind regards, m.
