Eleya's smile

This was from my first model shoot and taken in Seattle this last Oct.

Lighting was a single large striplight softbox with egg crates, to right of

camera, and ambient light from large living-room window on camera's left.

Lovely portrait. Congrats on working with such a wonderful model. I've worked with Eleya a couple of times. She was my first photo shoot as well. Happy new year!!

Very pleasant picture. I do not like the background very much> An option is I think to crop a bit on the right side, till the model's arm.

A pretty face, with much animation, and burning in the background to contrast with the luminous skin tones was a good idea.  Composition is a matter of looking at shapes and contours, and here the figure-ground contour approximates a right triangle.  The straight and nearly-straight lines are rather stiff, and getting a tilt to the head, the forearm out of vertical, and the wrist flexed would add a great deal to the picture.

Superb eayes and smile, captured at the very exact moment... Superb composition also. Great picture. of a very beautiful model....
