I took out a lens that had been in the coldness of my camper and put it one my camera in the warm environment of the truck cab.  This photo is similar to the scene I saw through my viewfinder.  Water vapor had condensed on the rear element, and it greatly reduced the visibility through the viewfinder.

I'm not sure if this is a true snowstorm or manipulation to simulate reduced visibility of a snowstorm.  The heavy vignetting that was applied leads me to suspect the latter; also, I can't seen individual flakes set against some of the darker elements, and the visibility seems consistent from near to far.

So Ray, only you can tell me if this was shot in a snowstorm or has been manipulated to simulate a snowstorm.

It was during the 12/26 NYC snowstorm. I wanted to give it a turn of the last century look. If you look at the next (or previous) shot, you'll see the original (very slight tint, also black and white.) By the way, this and all the other shots in the album, and the fall album as well, were done with HDR, with only one or two exceptions.
