Excellent photo! I really like the look of the black and white. The dramatic sky is intense. I love it! Nice work!!

I'd really appreciate your thoughts on this shot. In order to get the horizon

level, I feel as if the pier is somehow not level: and I can't decide whether

that is distracting or not. With hindsight, I think I should maybe have used

a slightly longer focal length to avoid the problem? Anyway, all comments,

feedback and suggestions for improvement welcomed.

I agree with James; the B&W is nice, and the dramatic sky lends considerable interest to the photo. Nice job with the angles leading out of the photo.

The pier does indeed feel slightly tilted in relation to the horizon. In addition to a longer lens, perhaps moving slightly left would have helped.
