vbirke 0 Posted December 28, 2010 Hi Esben, a wonderful scenery and capture. Maybe the distorted reflections of the illuminated houses at the left and right margin could be improved a bit, which are most probably due to your wide angle lens. They should appear at right angles to the shore line. BR / Volker Link to comment
eau1 0 Posted December 29, 2010 Thank you Volker. I see what you mean, but don't really know how to avoid/ fix it? Link to comment
vbirke 0 Posted January 18, 2011 Sorry for responding lately. In PS there is a filter which eliminates distortions, e.g., if you take a shot of a building with a wide angle lens, you get distorted lines. Using that filter, you can overcome such an issue in a lot of cases very effectively. The filter would also work very well for straighten the reflected light lines here - it also works for straighten a bended horizon which is may be generated by a wide angle lens (therefore, some photographers prefer tilt-and-shift lenses or lens babies instead a common wide angle lens, just to avoid distorted, bended lines...). OK, minor portions of the left and right margin get lost if you apply the filter, depends on the extend of distortion.Best regards,Volker Link to comment
eau1 0 Posted January 18, 2011 Tyvm Volker. I will try to do that. I usually just correct the horizon with the wrap tool manually. But now I can try to correct other elements as well. Thanks Link to comment
vbirke 0 Posted January 23, 2011 I look forward to seeing such a version...Regarding my own photos, I cannot show you an original version with distortions, only the already corrected one (for that purpose), if you're interested:http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=11545211At 16 mm, the reflections were distorted a lot here, especially at the right and left margin, hence, the PS filter I mentioned was very useful and effective here.Bw, Volker Link to comment
