Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted December 25, 2010 This is a wonderful cold image, yet your warm colors give it a lot of character and mood. This is excellent example of the importance of simplicity in photography. Are these little icebergs or snow covering rocks? Two points to consider: straighten the horizon line - it dips slightly to the right; and, try to keep your DOF wide enough to capture everything in focus. The out of focus snow/land on the front right detracts a little from the image. All that said, this is a terrific image. Link to comment
kani 0 Posted December 25, 2010 Thank you for kind attention for my photo... I didn't want to crop the image, therefore I think the small difference of horizon is not worth to take into consideration... But, I don't see any point in front right side of this photo out of focus. Beside that, " try to keep your DOF wide enough to capture everything in focus " if you mention here f-stop, I would say f-stop is important for the depth of field but the hyperfocal distance related to your selected f-stop and focal length is what you have to pay attention . The subject, I did focus here, was the small ice covered stone in foreground which is located about 150 cm from my camera. I did use my lens at 17mm and f/11 for this distance to keep all as sharp as possible. If there are some areas, on the corners or sides of the photos, not very sharp , that can be caused of the wide angle lens which is acceptable for me.... Link to comment

dustinbise 0 Posted December 27, 2010 I love it. A interesting twist and great execution on a composition that is used by many. Good to see a traditional style with a twist. One of the best seascapes I have viewed in a while. Cheers! Link to comment
