Purple Light

I was lucky with the weather at this beautiful location. I appreciate all honest critiques and especially comments on the composition. Thanks.

Kenneth: I'm happy to see you back! What a wonderful image to come back to us with. Compositionally excellent. The hues are splendid. The sky reflection in the pools is fabulous. The lighthouse, the sea, and the rocky base are a strong and perfect divider for the two component halves of sky and stone.

Well seen and well done Kenneth. I especially like the overall composition and balance of the shot. The forground pockets of water catching the light in the sky is a real plus.

Ken, A composition to aspire to. As mentioned, the pools of water nicely break up the mass of rock in the foreground, the reflections mimicking the patterns & colours of the sky. Surely this isn't the only viewpoint taken. Slight variations on this subject taken within a short period, to maintain the colours & mood, would be interesting to see for comparison. Perhaps this one is a result of your severe and frantic editing? Best, LM.

The reflection of the overall color of the sky on the smooth rocks, as the colorful clouds themselves are reflected in the pools is very effective. Seeing the sky through the window of the lighthouse add a lot to the peaceful feel of this picture. Nothing here is overdone.

Much better than this week POW. Beautiful composition with a lot of interesting detail and pleasing colours.

As if 3 landscapes combined in one - pools, lighthouse, and the sea - each one deserving a separate

shot, but I believe the photo presented is better and far more original than its "ingredients". I like especially the pools and the green light on the top of the lighthouse.

IMO, they are making this photo exceptional. Blago

I think this photo have a deep-meaning.

 

The sky is nature,the field and those rocks are nature too,but that light house is Man-Made. So i guess this PIC means that Human is always standing between sky and earth. Those water on the Rocks means life's beginnin',and sky means human,a form of life based and developed on earth, but have Huge space to develop themselves.

maybe this is what God want to say to us......

 

and color,i love those light,that's means HOPE.

Ken, first, welcome back! And what a way to come back. This image is so beautiful. Excellent composition. I love the colors throughout this image, and the reflection of the clouds on the pools of water. It appears to be a very peaceful place to be. The lighthouse in the background just adds more to this picture against the skyline. This is a very nice piece of work.

Really like the colors in the puddles. Makes them almost look iradecent (sp?) or like pools of mercury.

my favorite of your lighthouses, they are all very good.
