Wonderful capture! Is this the new Aquarium in downtown...or the one in kemha? (I'm from the Houston area).

I love the color and the concept of this photo. The lighting is superb. I might crop down to lose the black triangle in the upper left hand corner. This is a great image!

a very good image. I like it. The only suggestion I have is that you could consider cropping out about 15% from the left of the image. That way you will avoid the small black triangle on the top left of the image. Though that will make the little boy closer to the frame, it will make this even better. But very well done, nonetheless. I will give you a 7 on aesthetics anyway, because you can easily achieve what I suggest from this image.

Fantastic shot. I would crop it tighter to eliminate the dark wall at the bottom and the triangle in the upper left. I find the dark areas to be a bit distracting. Otherwise, it's very good. I would rate this a 6/7. If you crop it, I would rate it 7/7. Please rate and comment on my images too.

I am extremely impressed with this image. What I find even more impressive is that you managed to get such a shot of clarity and depth in such a dark spot! I tried doing photography in the New York Aquarium in my area but my results were nowhere near as impressive. Actually, ok, my results sucked. :)

Did you need a tripod?

Thanks for everyone's comments. I've cropped this image in two ways based on the feedback received; the cropped images are in my folder "Variations . . " I'd be curious to read if you think the image is improved.

No doubt about it - this is what is known in the magazine biz as a GRABBER. It's a winner just as it is. First time I looked at it I almost fell into the trap of analysing it - as if I could control the situation. Hey, it's a kid watching fish. But does this picture evoke what it's like to be there with him? You bet. Good job!
