Playing with water

i really like the spray of water in this shot, and the kid is adorable. however there are a few things detracting from this photo that can be easily fixed. first crop it so that the focus is on the action, the negative space on the upper part of the photograph and the hand holding the hose are somewhat distracting. second give this image some "pop" in photoshop or whatever software you use. there is some great light hidden in the water droplets, bring it out to help contrast it against a darker background. ive uploaded an example of what i mean, this is just a suggestion but it could help take this photo to the next level. i really like this photo's potential, there is a lot going for it.
