Canyon De Chelly

Fantastic! the light is focused and perfect, has some resemblance to El Capitan in Yosemite.

Beautiful light on the rock face and in the valley

This shot is breathtaking, but I wish i could see more detail in the dark areas in the background. This does, however, serve to put my focus on the sky, illuminated cliff face, and area below. Wonderful.

A nice shot. It looks loke something I did once on Photoshop with lighting effects. But it's not how you did it, but the end results. Good work.

This is real light. I burned in some areas, and increased contrast overall, but that is sunlight in the canyon.

Nice shot. I like the lighting effects on the rock and in the canyon. In my taste however, the light in the canyon is too weak and doesn't attract the eye as much as it could. The rock face and especially the clouds get more light and more attention. So I guess I would have printed this picture with somewhat more contrast and light in the canyon, but it's only my personal opinion.

I think that this is an astonishing image...the sense of the place is fantastic, and the lighting a great example of why being there at the right time is worth the effort...bravo !

To be perfectly honest, it simply isn't that good in color. It was a very dark, overcast day and the colors are weak at best. Part of the reason I overlooked this image for so long is that I never considered it in BW.

The lit area in the center is nice, but the rest of the picture seems a bit too dark

I think the only thing I would do to every so slightly improve the pic would be to crop a little bit off the left side.
