PJs Pics 0 Posted December 9, 2010 Whatever I do with this picture I cannot achieve the same clarity on this site as it is on my pc. Frustration!!!!!! Any ideas. Phil Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 303 Posted December 9, 2010 Better lighting and framing than the other one, although at first I thought I had open the same picture twice!PDE Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted December 10, 2010 Phil... I'm not sure if the method I use is the best available, but it's one I picked up here on PN. Posting tends to dull the highlights and blur detail. Prior to posting I resize my shot to double the posting size (2048px for landscape); in PhotoShop I then run the sharpen tool twice at approximately 75% value. This will make the image look over sharpened, but then resize again to roughly 1024px wide (I use 800px tall for portrait). The photo should still look sharp but then you may want to dodge the highlights just a little. Post and see how you like it. Hope this works for you. Here's this shot using that method. Of course it will look better using the original file... Mike Link to comment
