kahkityoong 0 Posted December 6, 2010 Photographed in that sweet spot just before total darkness when the trained eye can pick out a warm glow from the set sun and the clouds burn crimson. Even the snow-capped Black Cuillins in the distance are softly glowing. Canon 5DMkII, 16-35mm 2.8L, ISO 100, f9, 90 seconds, GND filters, Gitzo Explorer tripod. Link to comment

lalit 0 Posted December 7, 2010 A familiar view but different composition. IMHO little too heavy on FG. As usual, its personal opinion. Enjoying your sctoland series, look forward to more! Best+Lalit Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 303 Posted December 7, 2010 The lighting, all elements of the composition, everything is simply wonderful!PDE Link to comment

johnrobinson 0 Posted December 8, 2010 Nice to see a take on the Cuillins from this end of beach. The contrast and clarity here is sublime as is the composition. No negative criticism at all 7/7 Link to comment
kahkityoong 0 Posted December 8, 2010 Thanks for the comments so far. John, I was only here for the one shoot so I'm curious which end of the beach is it usual to shoot from? Closer to the town or further up towards the mountains. Link to comment
J. Perez 0 Posted December 10, 2010 Just perfect! Lighting, composition, exposure... It has it all! Link to comment
johnrobinson 0 Posted December 13, 2010 Hi Kah, Not sure what happened to my original comment, photo.net seems buggy atm. The images I have seen of this place are mostly taken the part of the beach closer to the town. I had limited time and set myself too man targets and worried about coming home with thinned out work but was lucky with the weather and lighting to have quite a productive week. I will be returning just after Christmas but will be limiting my locations this time in hope of coming back with something a bit more intimate. Link to comment
