I love the gradation of grey tones you've achieved coupled with the high-lights on the water in the foreground.

Increased contrast might work. Burning in above the waterline to to make the frontmost hill almost black and those behind darker might make it even better.

I love the picture but personally would have got rid of the foreground and cropped it tighter on the right giving it a more abstract feel. Whatever, it's a great shot.

The water is important in this shot to add a realistic contrast to the surreal capture of the landscape. I agree that boosting the contrast might have improved the photo. The composition is very engaging. The lines of the hills makes the eye flow smoothly through the image, and keeps attention to it. This is a wonderful piece, something I would want to hang on my wall at home:)

It's interesting that two people wanted more contrast. I think that my exposure and subsequent scan captured the quality of the light pretty well, though of course if you weren't there, you don't know that.

I tried boosting the contrast when I had the image in photoshop, but found that it detracted from the quality that had made me take the shot in the first place. In the end I did nothing except crop a little and adjust the colour balance - the combination of neg film and scanning generally needs a little correction.

on second thought, looking at this image again, it does have a nice watercolor/pastel fine art appeal to it. Also paying more attention, there is a lot of contrast in the water below. I retract my first suggestions. I like this as it is.
