Cape Lookout, OR

When I reached Cape Lookout in the evening last summer, the sky was clear - this was a bit disappointing as I was interested in taking shots of sunset. Within hours, dark clouds rolled in along with dense fog. I looked around for other opportunities and found this interesting location with an old wooden fence. When sunlight creeped in through a crack in the cloud, I had just few seconds to compose this shot.

Interesting shot, esp., how you composed the heights of the trees and an invitation to enter!

I thought I recognized this trail! I love the angle and composition. The fence draws us in and then we search for the trail to take us higher into the forest. Sometimes we get hung up on looking for the "perfect" image that we miss something so beautiful and simply right in front of our eyes. Well seen and presented.
