kahkityoong 0 Posted December 1, 2010 During the couple of minutes that the peak of Buachaille Etive Mor glowed at sunrise, this cloud passed across the face of the mountain. The inverted pyramid shape of the cloud echoed the mountain perfectly. Visit my blog Magic Hour Unplugged for the story behind this shot and a discussion about light - Anatomy of the Magic Hour. It also includes a link to a high resolution image. Link to comment
jacaranda 0 Posted December 1, 2010 Kah kit, I much prefer this version to the vertical as the light is falling optimally on the mountain and the composition is strengthened by the orange cloud mirroring the mountain peak. It is a peaceful scene and you have captured it well. Link to comment
hamidfarzandian 0 Posted December 1, 2010 Really magic! It's top and perfect, only thing which bothers me is slight color aberration at left tree branches. Regards.Hamid. Link to comment
juanpavon 0 Posted December 2, 2010 By composition, I like the vertical version. Here the vertical axis water-tree-falls-mountain is too focused for my taste, the side lost some interest. Congratulations on your WPOY Greetings Link to comment
