I really like the bizarre green effect in the eyes--you caught a very nice expression!  I might be tempted to try a square format...this may eliminate the distraction of the open door way on the right (it tends to lead my eye out of the picture).  Also, I might be tempted to clone out the piece of white string or whatever it is that kitty is standing on (also tends to pull me eye there).  Great face, though!  Gotta love those cats!

Is it possible that you somehow were using different colored lights in this picture?  There seem to be both blue shadows and yellow-orange shadows at the same time.  I cannot get a white balance on this image.  Maybe you had both daylight coming through the windows and incandescent light from a light fixture?

I took this photo while I was at my sister's house.. This  elderly mama cat is one of her 4 cats:) This kitty was coming out of the bathroom which is just off of my sister's kitchen..This area had rather poor lighting:/ Most of the light was artificial but some of it was natural that was coming from the kitchen window:)
