I'm guessing that the original Polaroid image was unacceptable so you decided to use PS to manipulate it a bit. That failed. It's a very ordinary shot made worse through manipulation. Some images lend themselves to such extreme manipulation. This one doesn't.

I have to disagree with you Dan before I read the title I knew what this pic was all about. The filter make a nice dream like effect. And the almost square image helps the composition.
