Stonehenge.

james_oneill

I made a detour to Stonehenge to take it, and the conditions were just what I like for this kind of IR, well into the afternoon of a sunny day. I remember someone asking me why I had a Red filter on my lens - the lens in question being an 80-200 zoom, needed because the stones are fenced off. This is a picture I've made many prints of over the years, and when I start working in the darkroom again I printed this because it I knew what it should look like. As shown here its one of my first experiments at tinting with Paintshop pro.

This is a very interesting effect of IR. The foreground looks to be an ocean with the stones emerging from the depths and the sky adding needed depth and texture. Your technique has suceeded in adding to this composition.

This is one of my tinted infra-reds - there are more if you click the

folder link. Interested to know what people think about the tinting.
