Birte, the warm smile, and obvious delight in the delicious (is it a mango?) despite the sure signs of poverty in the unwashed hands and face adds to the poignancy of this moving image. Toast to you.

Very moving and wonderful picture. Sometimes not much is needed for a smile.

Hi Birte,

I really like your composition and framing. The human interest element in this picture gets 10 out of 10. However, for me this has the feel of a poster, which if one is seeing it as one is great but, for my small screen, the hyper real increase in dynamic range takes something away from the simple charm of a smiling child.
