the soft treatment suits the subject and the reflective mood of the composition... i really like the pov and the particular tones you've chosen... the backdrop is superb and enhances the feel of the photograph... my respects, Amal da.

Nice study of the subject. There is a faint beginning of a benign smile on his countenance. The eyes are supporting this movement. The two contrasting varieties of bead garlands worn by the priest makes the image more interesting.

I'm assuming that the light wasn't all that bright because this doesn't have your typical sharpness.  It doesn't really need it, though, because his eyes retain a sharp focus.

Very impressive portrait.

The lighting is well set and the details are real fine, the man pose is very appealing and given the composition here a remarkable credit.

Your choice of b/w format with such contrast and tone is very successful and to the quality of this work.

Thank you my friend for sharing it and wishing you all of the best.

Jack, many thanks for your feedback. He is a nice person, though his looks may be intimidating.

A very nice portrait, interesting are his cloths and string .so different from other priests In other cultures. I like his eyes but imo needs a tiny bit more sharpening. I took the liberty to try it, I hope you will not be angry..;-))

Pnina, thank you very much for your feedback and improved version. Instead of being 'angry' ,I am grateful to you for guidance. I am uploading a color version for you  to see how they actually dress.

Thanks for uploading the colored version, I think it has lost some of its sharpness while  converting to B/W, as the colored version looks sharp enough to my eyes. It is still interesting the way he is dressed ( for a priest).in any event it is a good documentary photo I would never have guest he is a priest, Thanks again!

Pnina, you are right about loss of sharpness in the desaturated version. Please feel free to offer suggestion for improvement. Many thanks.
