sketch_tbhotmail.com 11 Posted November 29, 2010 Definitely a unique shot, love the concentric circles in the ice. The composition is fantastic, the lines really pull the eye through this shot from the ice to the trees. I'd be interested to see this with some truer blacks though, a little added contrast would really make it pop imho. Nonetheless this is great. Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 309 Posted November 29, 2010 I suggest only a black stroke and white frames, maybe larger ones! Otherwsie the picture is perfect!PDE Link to comment

marek_grzelczak1 0 Posted November 30, 2010 It is like time machine, I look at image and feel like child again in my home town. I can feel the frozen ground beneath my foots, the sound of crashed ice. The composition is nearly perfect. The ice is exactly where two diagonal lines in the form of "Y" are crossed. Just above, short and centred line of seven trees with nice diminishing effect. And finally horizon. No food, cold, almost night, far from home... but look there is a building between the 3th and fourth tree... we are saved... Link to comment
stp 6 Posted November 30, 2010 This is a harsh-looking landscape, not one suited for a casual Sunday stroll. The rough ground and thin ice (I've stepped on shallow-water ice before, and I know there's mostly air and maybe soggy soil underneath) don't exactly invite us in, and even the stark-looking trees seem to say "don't you dare." This is a very nice capture and expression of this type of landscape -- very nicely done. Link to comment
