Fine colors and good sky color. Nice to get a pair of them.  We usually got singles.  A 7 for me.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I was indeed lucky to capture a pair like this. They put on quite a show with the male flying off and returning with various insects to feed to his mate - I have some other "lucky" shots of these two Rollers which I'll be posting soon. Cheers, RickDB

A fabulous catch, Rick, despite that area of unavoidable shadowing. The detail is tack sharp and you did a great job nailing down an ideal exposure level on both the sky and the subjects. I have never seem these beauties before. Where are they from?

This pic was taken in Namibia - certainly one of the most colorful birds in Africa. The light was a bit harsh, even though it was quite early, but handholding a 600mm lens is definitely easier in bright light!
