If you don't mind sharing, it would be great to know how you processed this image to produce a hi-key look from a digital slr. It's really great! I have tried for this with Photoshop and a Canon D60, but I haven't had the success you have.

Very nice portrait of a beautiful woman. I also like the over the shoulder pose, and high key really brings out her eyes. I'd also love to hear how you accomplished this with a digital camera.

I have to say...I was really struck by this photo, and the other of Maura. (OT comment begins here)When I read that she was the lead singer for a band, it really perked my interest. I've always been a sucker for beautiful woman singers, and always on the lookout for interesting new bands...so I found some MP3s on their site, liked them, and went out and bought their album!!! Thanks for turning me on to a great band (and indirectly turning me on to another great artist called Sparklehorse)...and fortunately happens to be playing in my town next week!!!(end of OT comment!)
