Such perspective distortions are an automatic result of varying your distance to the subject. Try standing close to a mirror and hold your hand out to it. Your hand looks bigger than your face. Then move back several feet and take the same pose. Your hand now looks much smaller. Given the room, move 12 feet away from the mirror and hold out your hand and notice it is in perfect size relationship to your face. The only way to avoid such distortions is to stand back from the model.If you have a wall blocking your getting further away, just consider the carpentry expenses to be part of your photographic budget. :)Regards,Jerry Link to comment
