Death Defying Handstand!

This is my favourite image I shot at the Planet X Summer Games in

Sydney late last year. It took about 8 rolls to capture this move

and with the smoke haze I was very lucky! I was extremely happy

with how the Provia400f held up when rated at ISO800, I have a large

print A2 size of this and it's still sharp.

Good photo. Too bad about that thing above his feet, it's kinda distracting. I would take it out with photoshop.

wow. at first I thought he was hanging from that thing behind his feet. might want to photoshop that out of the picture. also might be better with just a slightly tighter crop so we can see more of the daredevil.

Phenomenal image - sharp colours, superb pose - the only drawback is the light right above the biker's feet, which is a little distracting. Excellent image still...

I must have looked at this image 100 times and never have noticed that light, but now....I agree with your comments. It is distracting! This shot (with the light) was published in Inside Sport and even they didn't appear to realise how distracting it was! Goes to show how interesting these crituqes are. Thanks again for the constructive comments.

The timing of this shot is great not only for the biker's pose, but also because the bike is centered in "halo" of smoke. Great shot
