Me in a palace in India, after the earthquake.

Exposed using someone's Lens, I think it was 24mm "L" lens... Not sure. Would be happy to know, if any of you can tell :)

This picture was taken after the earthquake in India, with my Canon

EOS Rebel G camera (someone else's lens). Please let me know what you

think, although the scanning is not marvellous.

I like everything about this photo, from the ornate/baroque decor of the palace, how everything is naturally lit, to the way the slight hunch in your neck suggests that you've been slightly humbled by the experience. Great shot.

Works for me as well. I keep wondering what the comp would like like had you framed the chair lower in the frame, or you simply had got closer.

Looks a bit strange where it's it, but it's minor nit on an interesting picture.

I really like the fact that you are in this picture. That really adds to its interest. A picture of the room alone would have shown the destruction, but would be just a destroyed palace. Having a person in it reminds us how the earthquake affected people; having it be yourself reminds us that it affected individuals because you look like an ordinary person sitting in their home. And, to top off the great compesition, you've got bright colors and wonderful lighting. Great shot.

I am producing a magazine to raise money for a temple in London and we are writing an editorial on the Indian Earthquake. I would like to know if you would be willing to give us rights to publish this picture. You can email me on dinesh.halai@pauffley.com if you are interested.
