This picture was taken in the Melbourne Botanic Garden in Australia.

This has not been altered in any way....the colours in the photo are the

natural colours of the plants.

Rachel, This is a lovely composition.  

If you were in a botanical garden they surely had labels for the plants.  Tell us what it is, please.  Is it native or imported?  All I can tell from your image is that it is in the composite family.  If I know the name, using the web I can find out more about it.

If my memory serves correct, this flower is a Gazania Rigens; a genus of the African Daisy. It is native to South Africa & Mozambique but has been cultivated (& in some places naturalized) in Australia. In Australia I believe is is referred to as the Coastal Gazania.
