I really like the composition and the whole image, but the red pulls my eye and as I look closer I find it a little out of focus... was this intentional?

Nice shot - graphic, abstract, strong lines and geometric patterns. I could see more contrast and a more vivid red for greater impact.

A large area that has a strong optical effect tempered by what happens on the tracks to the left and down (an "L" shape).
The hydrant red is the main contrast between the reality and the mesmerizing effect.
